Coast - Cloud
ある夏の日に津市の海辺に現れた入道雲は、真っ青な青空に対比するかのように不穏な気配をしていた。しかし、しばらく観察していると優しげな人物像にも見えてきた。この雲のように、人の姿は美しさと醜さや、内面と外見、人と社会など、時に相反するもの同士が重なり合ってできているように感じる。このような様々な性質が蓄積された人物像の表現を試みた。この試行は「Cloud（雲）」シリーズとして私の制作テーマの一つに加わった。
On a summer's day, a towering thunderhead appeared over the beach in Tsu City, casting an unsettling shadow against the bright blue sky. But as I watched it for a while, it started to look like a kind-looking person. Like this cloud, human figures sometimes seem to be made up of conflicting elements, such as beauty and ugliness, inner and outer, people and society, etc. I tried to express such a person, who has accumulated many different characteristics.This experiment has become one of my production themes, as part of the “Cloud” series.
