Terra cotta is rather fragile clay for material of sculpture. When I bake terra cotta,I set the temperature between 1050℃ and 1100℃, which is 300℃ higher than normal firing temperature, so my terra-cotta works are rather hard, but still, they should be treated with great care. However, I create some of my works assuming that they might be broken. And even if they are broken while making or after they are completed, I’ll restore as little as possible because both humans and objects will eventually return to the ground and I also want to accept even the process as a part of my expression.
